Why this site exists

K-beauty is everywhere in the Nordics now — COSRX and Laneige are on the shelves at KICKS and Lyko. Japanese skincare hasn't caught up yet, outside of a couple of big names like Shiseido. That's a gap, because Japanese drugstore skincare is arguably the best fit for exactly what Nordic winters do to skin: strip it dry, then let it overreact.

We're not a skincare brand. We pick a small number of well-known, inexpensive Japanese products — the kind sold in every convenience store in Japan — and point you to retailers (iHerb, YesStyle, and select others) that ship to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Everything here is organized by what's actually bothering your skin, not by brand or by 10-step routine. If a product doesn't earn its place on the list, it doesn't go up.
